Advancing Cybersickness Research: A VR Application for Inducing Visually Induced Motion Sickness
This follow-up study extends the VR VIMS-induction application by adding off-center rotation, vertical oscillation, and spatialized audio to intensify sensory conflict. With 30 participants, the enhanced system showed stronger cybersickness induction (MSSS scores from 0.3 to 2.3) and demonstrated that electrodermal activity (EDA) correlates positively with subjective discomfort, supporting EDA as a physiological marker for early cybersickness detection. The project was done in collaboration with the Copenhagen Hearing and Balance Centre, Rigshospitalet and ME-Lab - CREATE, AAU.
